Governor’s cabinet returns to the Mansion

Back in the 1820s Virginia’s Governor William Branch Giles bought a cupboard to hold the Mansion’s china and glass.  When he left Richmond, Giles took it home to his Amelia County home, Wigwam.  Now, almost 200 years later, the cupboard is back at the Mansion.   http://www.executivemansion.virginia.gov/

We’re still doing research, but we’re sure it’s a Virginia piece…probably from Richmond or Petersburg.  Make plans to take a tour of the Governor’s Mansion to see this historic piece in place.
